伸びたい放題伸びていたトマト達が、カボチャの様に地を這い出した。トマトのジャングル。いくら何でも手に負えなくなるので、わき芽かきと剪定を少しした。剪定の仕方もいろいろあるみたいだけど、出来るだけ自然に育って欲しいなあ。来年は広い所に何本か植えて、どこまで大きくなるのか試してみようっと。
Tomatoes that were growing freely have started to crawl on the ground like squashes. It’s a tomato jungle! Some of the suckers and side stems were pruned so they don’t get too out of control. There seems to be a lot of different ways to prune tomato plants, but it would be nice to see them growing as naturally as possible. Maybe next year, a few plants could be allowed to grow freely as they please – wonder how big they get!

トマトはいくら出来ても嬉しいね。
家のでさえ180センチの支え棒をはるかに超えて、超えた部分は棚組した棒にひっかかっている状態です。
福津農園の50年もひとり生えのトマトが、２メートル四方のスペースにぐじゃぐじゃ巻きで実っていました。まっすぐ延びたらどれ程になるのでしょうね。
それにしても、色々なトマト達。味も色々なんでしょうね。
赤くなったら、鳥たちも来るかな？黄色に熟すトマトもある？
楽しみがいーーーっぱい！！！

ミニトマトは黄色のはず。
